Greetings

I'm a third year history student in medieval history and I know for many history is one of those things that is made dull by academics rambling on and on about facts, figures and using words that have more syllables than would ever be necessary. As such I've decided to put together an idiots guide for those of us who like to learn but without needing an English degree in order to decipher the crazy inner workings of academics. In other words, I'm putting things in layman's terms!

At the moment I'm studying Edward the Second so he will be the starting point. I will use well known historical sources for this - most of which I've already raided from my university library!
